Katrina Peshka (she/her) is a tarot and oracle card reader with over 20 years of experience in the West Michigan area. Katrina is an intuitive reader, using both traditional and personal interpretations of the cards, as well as her claircognizant gifts to deliver messages from Spirit. Katrina's cards are blunt, but they're solution focused and want to show you the way forward.

Katrina is also the lead event coordinator for both Goth Grand Rapids and Hecate's Labyrinth. Additionally, she hosts The Tarot Social Club, a monthly series of tarot study sessions at Lotus Brew Coffee / Dry Bar.

Cartomancy, or the art of using a deck of cards for divination, dates back to the introduction of playing cards in the 14th century and remains a potent form of communication with Spirit. Most commonly used is the Tarot, a deck of 78 archetypes that use card orientation within layouts to form a picture of the querent's situation and deliver information about future influences and advice on how to proceed.

A card reader may also use an oracle deck, which does not have a set number of cards or feature particular archetypes but uses images and words unique to each deck to deliver information to the querent. Oracle decks often focus on inner and personal aspects of the querent's life.

Even a standard deck of playing cards can be used to divine fate. Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand, the famous French cartomancer, combined each card in the standard deck with a corresponding symbolic image to create the Lenormand form of fortune-telling, which is still practiced today.
